What you need to know

Life has a habit of challenging you in unexpected ways. Isn’t it great that your benefits are here to bring some order to the chaos? All you need to do is plan ahead a little bit. That’s what Annual Enrollment is for.

2025 isn’t here just yet, but let’s gaze into the crystal ball anyway. Take a few minutes to review how your Workday benefits will change for 2025. Then, think about how you might change. What will your life be like in January? Are the benefits choices you made in 2024 the right fit for 2025? Here’s one surefire prediction: As always, you’ll have great benefits next year.

What you need to do

Beginning October 30, you’ll find the Annual Enrollment announcement when you log in to Workday. Click the announcement, or use the task in your Workday task box, and follow the prompts.

Click on the 2025 Annual Enrollment task to choose and submit your benefit elections.

The deadline to enroll is Wednesday, November 15. If you don’t submit your elections before the deadline, we’ll automatically reenroll you in whatever your choices were for 2024—except for Flexible Spending Accounts. You must reenroll in FSAs each year; so if you don’t do it during Annual Enrollment, you can’t participate in 2025.

Comparing the medical plans

Choosing a medical plan is an important decision, but it doesn’t have to be complicated! We’ve gathered some resources to help you understand each option available to you.

First, go through this medical plan decision tool for hypothetical plan recommendations based on scenarios that could be similar to your situation.

Then, for a deep dive into the dollars and cents of each plan, review the scenario that best applies to your situation. Or, if you’re an overachiever, look at them all!

  • Scenario 1: Rachel—Single, early-career, and limited health care needs
  • Scenario 2: Bill and Emily—Covered spouse, early-career, and starting a family
  • Scenario 3: The Parker family—Family coverage, mid-career, conventional medical needs
  • Scenario 4: The Hamilton family—Family coverage, mid-career, spouse with chronic condition
  • Scenario 5: Lily and Maria—Covered spouse, late career, specialized medical needs

Still confused?

No matter how simple we try to make it, health care is still health care. We have webinars, in-person events, Benefits Buddies, and a bunch of resources to help you make your decision.
